I have had the pleasure of working with these amazing people for several years. They do incredible work. Their volunteers, that means no one is paid, work tirelessly to rescue, rehab and rehome dogs that would otherwise die from neglect, abuse, or euthanasia in overcrowded shelters. I have personally seen the difference they can make and the transformations. It is nothing less than heroic.
Just so you know, even though they are a German Shepherd Rescue, and they do get purebred shepherds, they will take other breeds and mixed breeds, into their lifeboat. My daughter’s dogs are both shepherd mixes and our Gracie was also. They were all adopted through GSROC. Gracie was on the euthanasia list; they got a call about a sweet dog in a shelter in another county. They drove out there and saved her life. I am forever grateful.
